I still don't see why he can't be tried for a DIFFERENT crime--lying to federal investigators? Isn't that a different crime??

You are asking a different question now.
You are actually asking why our adm. has not gone after countless offenders in govt. who are dirty. No one knows the answer.

It's the same crime, so I don't think that it can be retried anywhere. But, I could be wrong. You'll have to ask a lawyer.
