Why would the President care about what Matt Damon says? It's just silly.

I would say that he is being silly by talking about apologizing to any Senator re: the war.

In fact, I would have challenged him far sooner that BOR did for his total leftist propaganda about the war...would have asked him if is didn't bother him that Kofi Annan and several UN member countries were making MILLIONS from the OFF program, which would NEVER have been discovered if we hadn't invaded Iraq.

Also...that it was pretty well known that the sanctions were weakening over there..and the OFF program had France and Russia at least, in Saddam's pocket...so not telling what mischief Saddam was up to..BEFORE he had over 2 years to stash his WMDS.

fyi: Matt Damon leading contender to be cast as the new Capt. Kirk

Star Trek XI (2008)

Release Date Notes: (12/15/06) Although this movie was officially announced earlier this year for 2008, there have been some rumors that it may be bounced back a year to 2009.

Distributor: Paramount Pictures
Cast: None announced yet.

Cast Notes: (12/15/06) Of course, everyone wants to know who of today's current roster of actors could possibly step into the shoes of the original 'Star Trek' actors.

The first role to be announced as J.J. Abrams' favorite choice is (of course) James T. Kirk, whom Abrams would like to see played by Matt Damon (source: IGN FilmForce), whom Abrams reportedly sought (and got) William Shatner's approval on (Leonard Nimoy is also expected to be contacted about the eventual Spock casting).

Hearing that Damon was Abrams' top choice, fan favorite Kevin Smith said what many people probably already thought, that perhaps the perfect choice to play Mr. Spock would be Damon's buddy (and Smith's too): Ben Affleck (again, IGN FilmForce).

Oh yes, that was when Matthews referred to Cheney as a mad dog and wondered if waterboarding would make him tell the truth.

Matthews: Do you think guys like Cheney – I love to pronounce his name correctly by the way. Do you think guys like – it’s like a Dickensian name, Cheney. Do you think he knew he was saying stuff that wouldn’t turn out to be true, or was he just mad dog to fight the war?

Damon: I’d like to see him under oath.

Matthews: I would, too. I’d like to see him with you. Do you think if you waterboarded Cheney, like in the movie, that you'd get a different truth out of him?

Has anyone else noticed how ANGRY liberals get when big bad Republicans encourage people to go shopping? Why is that? Do they want us to spend 12 hours a day banging sheet metal into tanks like we are fighting fricking WW2? NEWS FLASH MORONS: Spending money helps the economy move. If people don't spend money and make money, no one will buy tickets to your god-awful movies.
