Nifong should be compelled to try this case on national TV.
I'm betting it never goes to trial. The complaining witness will flee and all the resources of the DA's office will be unable to locate her.
Yeah I misspoke when I called the N&O a "cheerleader" for Nifong. KC Johnson says its reporters have uncovered and reported more than a few items embarrassing to Nifong, and I defer to Johnson on all matters involving this case. The "cheerleader" was the head of the editorial page, Stephen Ford, who wrote a column in support of Nifong some months ago, since which, as more revelations have been made, he's kept his own counsel on the case.
Believe it or not, Duke does have an ice hockey team. But they aren't accused of anything.
Shortly after the news broke, one of those "support rallies" was planned and Al Sharpton was scheudled to make an apperance.
When Sharpton cancelled I knew it was a hoax. He couldn't handle a 2nd Tawana Brawley incident.
True, but it appeared on the OpEd page in the editorial section. And yesterday, a column from the editorial board itself was published, and, although not quite as damning as Kennedy's piece, it's pretty close.

As you can see I've been over there trying to set them straight on a few things. If you do too be nice. Don't go trolling(if you can help it.
Duke deserves to be hammered, for the way they threw these young men under the bus. Broadhead and crew have not come close to atoning for that. And the crew is pretty large. There were something like 80 faculty that signed that letter, early on. I wonder if that web site is still up, in the Diversity Studies Dept, or some such.

The guys he put in, will be getting out on appeal, based on his actions in this case.
The SBI lab could not find anything at all on anything in the rape kit. No trace of blood, saliva, or semen on any of the swabs. No foreign pubic hairs. Nothing. This was on evidence collected right after a supposed violent 3 man gang rape and beating sans condoms.
Nifong knew that on March 28th.
That was the end of the case for any normal DA.
Nifong then goes out and buys a new report, withholds part of it, and leaks the idea that it implicates LAX players.
Nifung should be in jail.
