Seems like you see people going to jail for "lying" about non-crimes. Martha Stewart did time for "lying" to a federal agent investigating a legal stock sale. Compare that with Sandy Berger who stole national archive documents, hid them, destroyed them and lied about it.
He gets a fine.

If the 5th amendment meant anything (like so many amendments), no one would have to go to jail for refusing to testify against themselves. That's what's got me ticked off about the Stewart case.
