"Around 60 people turned up to celebrate the Winter Solstice at Stonehenge Thursday - on the wrong day."
Hah! The pagan gods will be angry. Prepare to burn in torment, you dopey heretics!

There's alot of things about this group that might suggest they're not rocket scientists.

Flash! Christians re-schedule Christ's birthday to coincide with pagan Winter Solstice celebrations.

'We formed a ring and held hands, and touched the stones. The man with the green cloak was there. But there were an awful lot of red faces'
Was the man with the green cloak the one whose stones got touched?

Well, consider that their time could have been spent in much more socially harmful activities than forming a circle and touching stones. Insofar as it kept them busy [and thus away from doing mischief and causing anarchy and destruction], their celebration is to be welcomed.

Great. They've screwed up and now the sun god will not be convinced to come back this year. When temeratures are still below freezing in July they'll be crying for some global warming.

What would a motorcycle gang be doing at Stonehenge anyway?

--I thought the stones walked to the nearest water one day of the year and crushed anybody who saw them--couldn't they have worked around that?

They may have missed the solstice thingy, but their main objective was realized--gettin' high on some gnarly buds, drinkin' a few brewskis, and jammin' to some kewl tunes.
Oh, yeah--and feelin' up the chick with the purple hair and lip rings...

This anecdote demonstrates just how superficial the "faith" of these self-styled pagans really is.
No self-respecting pagan of old would have overlooked the correct dates of a solstice or equinox, for any reason.

More importantly, is the Man In The Green Cloak related to the Man In Rhe Yellow Hat? And are either them related to Red Ridinghood?
