What band of international terrorists were responsible for Katrina?
What country now harbors the perpetrators of the New Orleans disaster?
How do we justify declaring war on them?

Rep. Charmaine Marchand vowed to sleep in a tent on the State Capitol grounds until the Blanco administration works out the kinks in the Road Home program.I guess no one was willing to pay her way to Washington.

Add to your list:
#1) If buildings are built below sea level, they are susceptible to water seeking its own level in extreme weather.
#2) Don't rebuild below sea level.
#3) Realize you are responsible for your own actions (and lack of action)

Let see
A Mayor who ignored the warning
A Mayor who sent out the word to late to evacuate
A Mayor who abandon his city when it needed him most
A Mayor who was not there to tell city workers to keep the pumps on
A Mayor who allowed hundred of school buses to be flooded
A Mayor who tried to manage things from Dallas without the communications necessary and had know idea of what the situation was really like in the early hours
A Governor who was denial about the levies
A Governor and Mayor who did not ask for Federal/Military Aid until it was too late
Gee cannot for the life of me figure this one out I guess we do need a commission

"Advocates say the commission is needed to truly understand what went wrong to cause the flooding of New Orleans and the deaths of more than 1,300 people."
Virtually no damage except minor wind damage to buildings from the actual Katrina hurricane. The center reached landfall miles to the east of New Orleans. The tidal surge caused water to rise AND THE FREAKING DIKES BROKE because of years of failing to reinforce them! Not to mention a barge breaking away from moorings slammed into an already weakened dike from tidal surge and VIOLA! FLOODING OF THE ENTIRE 9TH WARD!
I've got a Katrina Commission right here. Come and get some!

I guess when you live in a family that does nothing but reproduce the next welfare child generation after generation, you come to expect the gummit to automatically do everything for you from cradle to grave.
The ones that packed up their families and evacuated have never relied on the gummit. Its natural for them to take responsibility for themselves.

Like Gorelick being on 9-11 Commission, Blanco and/or Nagin will be on the Katrina commission.

Sharp said "mistakes were made at all levels" but "that does not excuse the wholesale breakdown of federal bureaucracy." Translation: It's all Bush's fault..

They can investigate why Blanco's "Road Home" group has only written about 85 checks to-date.
