Every one is beating on Chavez, and the destruction of his country. Look at Castro and how long he has lasted, and he doesn't even have the Oil that is available to Chavez.I studied the Dismal Science, and it looks to me that as long as Chavez has oil money and can keep spreading it around he will do fine...A lot of people are happy to lead a low style of life as long as they don't have to work for it. If you doubt this come to Las Vegas and look at the homeless lined up for blocks, living on welfare

Go to the NASA website. They have the whole earth, taken at night. The two Koreas on that map are like this (poor) rendition. The lights all around the world favor the free market societies, and disfavor the socialist/communist/dictatorship nations. Not at all surprising, when you think about it.
