WE (conservatives) have been saying that for years.... practically screaming it for the last 2. And the WH, State Dept, GOP, DNC and UN have been ignoring us.

The Euroweenies recognized shortly after the Neville Chamberlain administration that paper is worthless. They've since switched to "dialog" as a method of resolving conflicts with lunatics. The peanut farmer will attest to its effectiveness.

Iran KNOWS the United Nothings are spineless. So are the politicians who still believe the UN is the answer.
Supporting the UN is passing the buck. Political inaction can be blamed on the UN. Saves the spineless politicians from having to actually stand for anything beyond re-election.
