Exactly....it would be disastrous for him to go...and I would not want one of my children in his unit.

I applaud his desire to go...but, it isn't in the Brit Army's best interest.

Um, why not? I always thought if one is going to serve his/her country in the military one puts his/her life on the line. Moreover, why is his life more important than your children?
