Seems like I heard he was battling pneumonia or some such health problem. He was before my time, but may he rest in peace.

He did an admirable job in a very tough time for our country. RIP in President Ford.

Too bad. A West Michigan rep for many years. His presidential museum is in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He'll be missed.

With all due respect, could we amend the headline to say "President Ford..."? Thanks, Borges, for the post.
God bless him and provide solace to his family (is Betty still living?).

Long before his presidency he spoke at my Dad's graduation ceremony(school of about 250). Always struch me as an honorable man who tried his best with the wreck of Nixon's presidency. Prayers up for a good man.

God bless him! He was a good man thrust into an impossible situation and he did his best despite everything arrayed against him. People made fun of him, but I always respected his ability to rise above all that and carry on.

Former President Ford Dead at 93
Gerald R. Ford, who picked up the pieces of Richard Nixon's scandal- shattered White House as the 38th and only unelected president in America's history, has died, his wife said. He was 93.
