then came the punchline, the people on her block in Chanhassen decided that this coming summer they would have 1 'community' lawnmower between 6-7 houses, this was to do their part in lowering 'greenhouse gases'....when confronted by the question 'what is the difference if it is 1 lawnmower mowing 7 lawns or 7 mowing 7?' well, the answer was 'they won't be getting mowed all at the same time' The problem with Socialism/Communism is that the right people haven't done it yet. < /sarcasm >
You should start a pool on when this little socialistic brainstorm will result in a resounding "Uff Da! Vhat vas we tinkin' Ole!?!"

Chanhassen is a very upscale suburb of the Twin cities. Just the sort of place you would expect to find this kind of thing.
1 lawnmower for 6-7 yards great. Then they get in their (evil) SUVs and drive 20 miles to work.
I am reminded of the line from Animal House
Otter: Dead! Bluto's right. Psychotic, but absolutely right. We gotta take these bastards. Now we could do it with conventional weapons. But that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part.
