"Saddam Hussein is now taking his rightful place alongside Hitler, Stalin, Lenin and Ceausescu in the pantheon of failed, brutal dictators and the Iraqi people are well on their way to freedom." - Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld, Apr. 9, 2003.

"Yet the safety and security of the American people require that we not relent in ensuring that Iraq's young democracy continues to progress."
Hear, hear, Mr. President!

Where's the statement from the socialist Pelosi? As usual with the Dems, there will be no statement until they can spin it in lockstep. Or goosestep, to be more accurate.

I mean if the Iraq war is a "mistake" and we "were led to war by lies" certainly Saddam should not have been executed.
In a sane society Pelosi and her fellow socialists wouldn't be able to have it both ways and someone would demand they answer the question.

"This would not have been possible without the Iraqi people's determination to create a society governed by the rule of law."
I would like to add - This would not have occurred with the courage and resolve of you GW. Thank you! I am proud you are my POTUS!

After I got my laughing under control, I realized that was sick, I'm only going to e-mail it to one of my friends.

I mean if the Iraq war is a "mistake" and we "were led to war by lies" certainly Saddam should not have been executed. Not only that, but if Saddam was honest when he stated he had actually destroyed all 600 tons of Chemical and Biological WMD that he admitted possessing, and that the CIA and UNSCOM verified he had after Gulf War 1, why was he still executed ?
Perhaps he was not an honest man after all.

I just had a funny thought. Kofi and the cats at the U.N. doing a cover of Tom T. Hall's The Ballad of Forty Bucks at Saddam's funeral.
