For years, it was fashionable for the Left to bash Christians, particularly the Christian Right. In the run up to the 2000 and 2004 elections, People for the American Way, NARAL, the ACLU and, for the most part, the Democrat National Committee marginalized and undermined the participation of conservative Evangelicals in the political process. As far as most Democrats were concerned, Christians were homophobes, bigots, and narrow-minded fundamentalists who should be lumped into the same category as Muslim extremists. America should fear Evangelicals because to the Left, we are the modern embodiment and current political expression of Nazism.

There are any number of ways to flush out these liars and expose them for the fraudulent sociopaths that they are, but we'll have to watch and see if pastors, who know the truth, are willing to come to the forefront and bring the hammer of Scripture down on these people and force them to crawl back into the sewers from whence they came.
Will Christian leaders allow the American party of al-Quaeda to twist and lie about Scripture for their own political aims? We shall see.

(1) their general disdain for anyone who believes and trusts in God
Colleges campuses are full of lefties. As soon as they discover a Christian/Catholic in their mist, they ostracized that person to the point of mental breakdown or termination (voluntary or otherwise). We, as parents, have entrusted these professors with our children. Why?
(2) their pro-choice stance on abortion - in particular partial-birth abortion;
(3) their williness to forgive and forget criminals in lieu of the victim;
(4) their general hatred for anything traditional or American
I could go on but you get the picture.
If Christian leaders remain silent while the Left spews lies and distortions of Scripture for the sole purpose of empowering themselves, then those leaders are not behaving in a concerned way about people's hearts. Christians who have been entrusted by God with the truth have a responsibility to counter with that truth the lies spoken by those who wouldn't know Jesus Christ if they bumped into Him in the street and who are not interested in getting to know Him.
This ongoing deception by the Left is a golden opportunity for Christians to inject some Biblical truth into a nation that desperately needs it. I hope the chance is not wasted.
Just a few questions asked of Democrats at some "town meetings" about Scriptural truth will stop them dead in their tracks. They don't believe in the truth of Scripure, they don't believe in a holy, righteous God Who holds man responsible for sin, they don't believe in moral absolutes.
This should be a cakewalk.
If one believes in what certain groups of Christians do about the end of times, it's inevitable that some are deceived.
Either way, Christianity has been under assault since it's existence began. While evil will win a battle here and there, the ultimate victory belongs to Christ.
They say and do bizzare things that are very UN-Christian, yet they are the ones who are promoted and given the spotlight by Anti- American, pro terrorist, religion of death blood cult Islam.
Sure, it isn't hard to hammer them with scripture that points out their lies, show the gullible that they are following Satan's helpers, but it isn't so easy to have that make headlines in the media. When it comes right down to it, you just don't see very many good priests/pastors/ministers willing to take the high road at the risk of alienating a few collection plate donators.
Let's hope that Christians will finally stand up for what is right. We've been all to easy to defeat in the past.
And who knows what can happen in the lives and hearts of some people who might never hear the Good News except for Christians responding to the lies of the Left?
Yes, people will be deceived and more and more so as the return of Christ draws nearer. But as long as we are here, I believe we are obligated to get the truth out and especially to counter those who stupidly use God for their own greedy, selfish purposes.

The worst part about it is that they are the ones committing the atrocities while accusing the right. Look at the example of Van der Graaf - the assassin of Pim Fortuyn in Holland. He had allies in the Green Party - which tried to help him cover his tracks by destroying evidence. One of them knew that Van der Graaf murdered Fortuyn and even went to his home to erase his disk drive on his computer before the cops could get to it. He was never arrested nor punished for this. After all, he helped get rid of a bothersome right winger.
The only politicians in Europe who have been murdered or injured in recent memory have been right wingers. (Le Pen got an eye kicked out by an angry leftist.)
It's more important to find that narrow path to salvation and eternal life during the short time (your lifetime) than to worry about those last days, when few will be left, and the day of the Lord comes. Scripture says few will be left, and those remaining in those final days will suffer greatly, and be sought after by the rebel's soldiers, persecuted, and suffer from the famines, disease and drought along with those who have put on the beasts mark and condemed themselves. When Christ returns, only those who have held to his word will be saved regardless of what some may think happens next.
Don't forget- who did God say is the "God of this age?"
The world we live in at the moment is abnormal- the way things are now is not the way God created or intended for them to be. So good is going to be evil, and evil is going to be good; everything is topsy-turvy and inside-out right now. And it is going to appear that bad people do very well in this life, with material riches, accolades, admiration and worship from other bad people. This is not going to go on forever.
And no, taking a stand for Scriptural truth may not make the media, but that doesn't absolve Christians from defending God and defending His Word. We don't need applause and acclaim from men; we need to please God and do His will.
And making sure that lies about God, lies about His nature, lies about Who He is, lies about His principles and commandments are countered is vitally important to us as followers of Christ. After the sacrifice He made for us, after what He has done for us, it is our responsibility.

The Left exists on lies and deceit and there will always be those who, loving the darkness, gravitate to and cling to the alternative offered by Satan. The greatest tragedy in all of reality is that there is an offer made by Jesus Christ of abundant, secure, joyful life now, and eternal life of a kind we can't even imagine when we leave this earth, and there are people who will reject this offer for the torment, turmoil, insecurity, faithless, unhappy existence that we have when we don't know Christ. And the bewildering thing is, they will accept any belief system except the one that completes them as human beings and gives them the life that God always intended for them to have.
Although republicans will usually adhere more to Godly moral principles than Democrats, they don't seem to have much fear of the Lord. They are still trying to gain power and control over the lives of men.
It's called "the great revolt" in scripture. It is this 'power of deception' that Paul said would descend on the earth in the last days because of the people's rebelliousness. It's divine purpose, he stated, is to lead astray all who are in love with wickedness. Quickly followed by the tribulation. Things are only going to get worse UNLESS there is a rapid repentance, return to faith, so yes, it's more important than ever to get the word out, bring people to the Lord. But it will come, because it is written.
I agree with that.
We have evidence of that just in the last two years. Republicans were given an opportunity to govern according to, not neccessarily the Bible, but certainly not like Democrats. They failed and exposed themselves as mere men who cannot be counted on for moral leadership, courage, guardians of American values and principles, and bulwarks against the ever-encroaching tentacles of the socialist ambitions of the Left.
The lesson I drew from this is that, in the end, the only One who can be trusted is the One who holds this earth in the palm of His hand, the only One who never changes, the One who has told us how it will all play out.
That's Who I keep my eyes on and that's Who I look to for my security.
