This sounds like something from the Onion. It can't be true. Can it?

If you like the way the government delivers your mail. you'll LOVE the way they deliver your healthcare.

I work the Fast Track in the local Emergency Department. Our goal is to get non-emergent cases treated and streeted in less than an hour. My personal best is 12 minutes. This is IN SPITE of all of the forms the government requires.

My neighbor is an Irish national. Recently her mother (mid-50's) back in Ireland had to wait something like 18 months to have an angioplasty. The woman had already suffered two heart attacks, but the cardiologist told her she didn't qualify to be moved further up "the list."

People who support socialized health care really musn't have the first damn clue.

There is the little matter of the 24 hour rule, em2vn, or dont' you know that one. If an article was posted more than 24 hours ago it is fair game to post it again. Lots of people had not seen the original article, and I am sure that the BS that caused this article to be printed(the waiting time for patients)is still in effect and just as viable today as it was last year. All of you self appointed posting police need to get a life. Don't want to read this thread? Don't click on it. That's easy enough isn't it?

The Government wants patients to wait no longer than six months before seeing a consultant.

It true, the Queen's phalange was
stuck up her nose for 6 months
before seeing a consultant.

I wonder how many leftists also think that Saddam was executed way too quickly? Most leftist are against all forms of executions for everyone in the world who is sentenced to death. Why can't executions move just as fast over here in the U.S.? The A.C.L.U. among all of the other leftist groups are a real pain in the rear! Political correctness all over the world makes all world politics very goofy!

Ill continue to pay for my own healthcare..

You won't be able to pay out-of-pocket for any care... if medicine goes socialized nationally. Some of the excerpts of the Hillarycare papers implied you would be restricted to a "district" and could be fined/imprisoned for going outside said "district" for healthcare without prior government approval.

You give her too much credit. Any normal person would have given up the horse after the back injury. What do you expect from someone who depends on Vermont socialized medicine?

The Government wants patients to wait no longer than six months before seeing a consultant.

Sloppy editing. Based on the rest of the story, I'll fix it.

The Government wants patients to wait no longer than six less than four months before seeing a consultant.

I did search for "Fined For Being Too Fast" before I posted. There was no other thread with that title.
