I know. I have a daughter who can eat the same amount as anyone else and she gains twice as much. We need to get the genetics right. It's unfair. I feel sorry for the overweight but what can a person like myself do?
I just laugh about being able to eat anything I want but it's not funny really. So many people are suffering from weight it's sad.
I have a hard enough time dealing with life's problems. I can't imagine having to deal with the health problem associated with obesity.

I never had to fight weight --- up until a couple of years ago. I am sorry to sat that since moving here to the South, I have taken a liking to biscuits and white gravy....I need to drop 15 pounds and quickly before I get used to the added weight.

Maybe we need to let things be. Some are ok with being large. We can just be who we are and be happy with that. Otherwise we are playing God. Ya think?

I'll be home, as usual. We (wife and teenage son) will probably watch the West Coast replay of the ball dropping in Times Square. That's good for perhaps 15 minutes of celebration. Then back to the usual things I enjoy.
Do you have any plans?

Dear Lord .. the lip biter's precious thoughts about President Ford are already on MSNBC.com .. just gag me:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After Gerald Ford left the White House, I was grateful for his counsel, for his occasional support on important national issues, for the respectful way in which he articulated his honest disagreements with my policies, for a few unforgettable golf games and for the partnership he forged with President Carter, which I have tried to emulate in my work with former president Bush.
Nice to watch the ball dropping with family!
We almost always stay home and this year is no exception. We're not drinkers or party animals. :)
and for the partnership he forged with President Carter, which I have tried to emulate in my work with former president Bush. First of all, Ford didn't like Carter (see posts above referencing "you can't make chicken salad out of chicken s**t).
And secondly he's a damn liar; he's done nothing but undercut Bush.
Well, maybe over Ann Coulter, they do.
BTW, notice what he said is not about Ford, but about how HE tried to BE like what he thought Ford was.
I have a better time on New Year's Day -- feasting and watching college football's Bowl games.
Exactly ... it's always about HIM. I just don't know how we're going to manage the nauseating swill we'll be witnessing, reading and hearing in the next 2 years.
I cannot bear to watch him. He's too full of himself and too partisan.
Bill Clinton is the most full of himself person on the planet. Ahmanutjob is not as stupid and narcissistic as he is. How he ever got to the Presidency of the most powerful nation on the planet is beyond me. He is like a perpetually spoiled attention deficit teenager.
"When you made your healing decisions ... it was easy for us to criticize you, because we were caught up in the moment. You didn't get caught up in the moment, and you were right."Clinton has pretty much summed up the Democrats approach to everything...caught up in the moment without regard for what is best or right for the country.
partly propped up by Hollywierd, if not totally and/or one hell of a b-s'er
