I am glad to see the others here as impressed with Cheney's eulogy as I was.

This eulogy was beautiful and moving. Cheney blended the dignity of the office with the personal moments of a friendship. I caught the eulogy quite by accident, and will forever remember both men by the measure of the words.

Yes. It drives me crazy, it's as if we were raised in different homes. She has a problem with what she refers to as the "religious right." I remind her that our parents (who we lost when they were relatively young) were Republicans and weren't that way. I don't know what it is, she also has some romanticized memory of the anti-war Viet Nam days, things she is too young to even remember.
