Little Rock - Little Rock police have identified a suspect in the shooting death of a bank teller killed during a robbery at the Metropolitan National Bank branch in west Little Rock last month.
Eighteen-year-old Grover Evans Junior of Little Rock is wanted for capital murder. Evans is accused of fatally shooting 25-year-old James R-Garison. Authorities say, Evans entered the bank on December 23rd and shouted, causing Garison to briefly turn from the drive-up window where he was working. Evans allegedly shot Garison in the back, then demanded money from another teller.
Metropolitan National Bank has offered a 50-thousand-dollar reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the killer. Police say they received a tip about Evans and he was viewed as a "person of interest." After further investigation, authorities were able to obtain the capital murder warrant.

As for Mr. Evans Jr.....I can't say what I think of him here, I'll be banned and possibly arrested.

I trust that Arkansas knows how to deal with pigs like this. Hopefully it won't take 20 years.
What the press doesn't want to tell you is that Grover Evans Jr. leaned over the counter on his way out, and said to my dying friend, "Merry Christmas Mother F####er".

This was a RACIST crime. The shooter robbed a black teller and said and did nothing. Then he robbed Garrison and killed him, yelling "motherf**ker".
I think the thread I posted on 24 DEC 06 was yanked just because I pointed out the obvious. Additionally, the initial description from the police said he was a light skinned black male or a hispanic.
COPS and PRESS knew that it was a black male because of the ebonics.....not easily confused with broken latino english, esp. around here, they just didn't want to point out the obvious.
I'm sorry for your loss but glad they've caught the man (assuming it is him... which I'm fairly confident it is).
Please keep posting any information on his trial.
I pray that justice is served and that the friends and family of the victim can have some measure of peace.
Arkansas doesn't use the "hot squat" anymore. Lethal Injection is the method of choice now.
What I really don't get - lethal injection involves a pain killer, a muscle relaxer, then the drug to stop breathing. FAR more humane than any murder victim ever got...
And some are suing now saying that lethal injection is "cruel and inhumane".... I just don't get it.
Bring back hanging - from what I hear, Saddam didn't feel a thing when his neck snapped.
