TKK dials up Eagan, Braude (O'Reilly demoted on Boston FM radio)
Boston Herald ^ | January 4, 2007 | Jessica Heslam

Gov.-elect Deval Patrick has clashed with the media in the past, but he’s apparently changing his tune, volunteering to do a regular spot on Margery Eagan and Jim Braude’s radio show on WTKK (96.9 FM).

“You have invited me to come and make a regular gig,” Patrick told the duo on the air yesterday. “Let’s do that.”

The details have yet to be worked out, but it was more good news for the pair, whose popular one-hour show expands to three hours starting Monday. Their new noon to 3 p.m. gig bumps cable king Bill O’Reilly’s radio show to nights and he’s reportedly not happy about it.

Yes, but as I recall, he is articulate as well, not of the same ilk as the Err America blowhards. But I doubt that Deval Patrick's voluntary "regular" gig with them is the reason the station increased their hours. I suspect this has been in the works for some time.

Howdy Braude is a clown. Real Talk Radio in Boston is on WRKO and Deval won't go there. No one questions King Deval.

Didn't their show used to be 3 hours (12-3pm) a few years ago before it got shortened to 1 hour to make room for 2 hrs of Bill O'Reilly?

I'm not sure. Maybe Raccoon Radio would know.

Live Free or Die!

Years ago, when I had to move from New Hampshire to Massachusetts, I cut the "Live Free or Die" slogan from my New Hampshire plates and attached it over the bottom of my new Mass plates! I'm sure I was breaking some law, but what the hell.

p.s. Do you remember when the New Hampshire State Police arrested a couple of Massachusetts State Police officers outside a State Liquor store for loitering or vagrancy or some such thing?

I don't recall that incident with the Mass State Police. How recent was it?

During the second Dukakis administration, the Massachusetts State Police would stake out the New Hampshire State Liquor Store, which was conveniently located in the median of the Interstate.

When Massachusetts residents would return to Massachusetts, the State Police would arrested them for failure to pay tax on the Liquor.

After the New Hampshire State Police arrested the Massachusetts State Police officers for loitering, the practice finally came to an end.

O'Reilly is under attack almost everyday by Olberman, who is obsessed with him.

I will check with a cousin who is instantly nauseated by the mention of the Duke. :-) If she knows, I will pass it on.

Yea, I have made that comment, too, in the past. I think it may be more than an obsession, however. He is infatuated, in a way.

LOL
Olberman's always mentioning O'Reilly in connection with a falafel and also porn.

I used to start off listening to O'Reilly at 1:00 and stay with Jay Severin. But I can't stand listening to Jim Braude. And Eagan isn't much better. Babbling airheads they are. However, despite many years of absence, Howie has taken me back.
