This is a good and fair tax.

In theory perhaps. But the reality is, there "isn't enough money for transportation" because of waste and incompetency at VDOT.

This is NOT about not having enough money. It's about not knowing how to spend what we already have.

Do you normally sit with stick up your butt sideways?

It's not my fault the GOP F'd up so bad as not to be able to beat his joke of a senator. But I'm the one who has to pay for it, for the next 6 freakin years. so forgive me if I at least try to easy my pain with a little bit of comedy.

Comedy is funnier when it is based in fact.

George Allen was defeated for the SENATE by Jim Webb.

This tax increase is being proposed by the GOVERNOR.

But, thanks for playing, and for proving my point.

Secondly, the voters in NoVa and Tidewater (they seem to be the ones who make the most noise about roads) had the opportunity to increase local sales taxes to specifically address their road concerns. Those referenda were overwhelmingly voted down. If the roads were such a problem, there was an opportunity to resolve it to some degree and the voters said NO.

Well, duh, they quite correctly said NO to a scheme to fork over additional money to replace the money that they had already raised only to have it stolen by Richmond porkheads.

The solution to NoVA transportation problems is simple: all transportation taxes must be spent within the county where they are raised.

The attitude is the locals should pay for it not them

Correct.

why do they think we should also pay for their roads needs in NoVA and Tidewater

Incorrect. NoVA and Tidewater carry the welfare-bum remainder of the state.

Taking my comments out of context do nothing for your alleged arguement. And insulting those of us who do not live in NoVA or Tidewater negates anything of substance you might have been trying to convery.
