Human life began millions of years ago and has been evolving ever since. It can't be flipped on and off as a light switch. It is illogical to say an embryo formed by a living sperm and a living egg that came from two living individuals is not alive.

I have a similar view: "When is it not human life?" is the appropriate question.
Is pupae of a Monarch butterfly not a living form of species D. Plexippus?
Just a part of the life cycle of the species.
My point is that fetal humans are still Homo Sapien, and they are certainly alive.
