Mr. Larsson is not only a fantastic footballer, but a true good guy. We could use more like him in every sport.

Our whole family loves soccer, our 3 boys play and my husband and I both coach rec soccer. Our oldest is very very good. He's played 7 years and he's just about to turn 11.

I wish it was more available on TV. We've considered going for the big digital package just to get the Fox Soccer channel. We can on occasion catch a game on telemundo, but we almost never get to watch European matches.

"...Will FReepers ever approve of soccer?..."

This Freeper won't because soccer is not a sport....it's an Italian aerobics exercise.

"Mr. Larsson is not only a fantastic footballer, but a true good guy. We could use more like him in every sport."

- What a wonderful website this is - and what a magnificent person Henrik Larsson is.

Great to find out that that other persons than I and Ronaldinho have realized that the greatest soccer player being around on a really high level in 2007 is Henrik Larsson.

This record says it all:

- Broke the jaw.

- Shin bone broken right off

- Completely thrashed knee. At the age of 33.

- Came back. Won the Champions League title for Barcelona by magnificent play. Literally produced the goals by supreme play.

Then secured a honorable draw for Sweden versus England in the already classic showdown in Cologne where Larsson made the crucial "pain in the Lars"- goal of 2-2 by making use of his toe.

Brake your jaw.

Brake your shinbone in halves.

Demolish one of your knees.

Afterwards, contribute to the history of a major sport.

Then talk big.

My family loves soccer, as well as many other sports! My husband coaches at the club level locally, and all three of our children have played it at one time or another. The youngest is still in high school and plays for the school and a club team. Our oldest, while having played all through his youth and teen years, now works retail at a local soccer-supply store. Both are very devoted to the sport. My daughter and I are both enthusiastic spectators. We are hoping as a family to go to the next World Cup.

We also love to watch many other sports, including football, hockey, lacrosse, basketball, tennis, golf, and baseball. I guess basically if there's a sport on, you can pretty much be assured that someone in my home is watching it (presuming other responsibilities are taken care of).

While I am not familiar with Mr. Larsson, I think I may understand the esteem you hold for him. I have an American player who I hold in the highest regard as well.

My best to you!

(To begin with, sorry for my late reply!)

Your family really makes the impression of being the sporting kind of people!

I'm convinced sports help develop many valuable qualities in human beings, not at least in our children.

In life, things like self discipline and ability of teamwork are very important. Many sport activities indeed promote these abilities.

My best to you too and to your family!

I don't like it but I'll defend to the death your right to go nuts over a nil-nil match.
