MONICA MADNESS

BUBBA'S DEM CHIEF BARES HILL TENSION

By MAGGIE HABERMAN

(snip)

Bill Clinton described that time period as "absolute living hell," McAuliffe said.

He uses the book to claim that Kerry, who lost his 2004 challenge to President Bush, had a bumbling and wavering campaign team that was tripped up by a smoother machine.

"I thought the decision of the Kerry campaign to back off any real criticism of Bush was one of the biggest acts of political malpractice in the history of American politics," McAuliffe wrote.

(snip)

McAuliffe says Kerry's aides wanted to oust him as party head once the Massachusetts senator secured the nomination. He said he was never invited to a single meeting at Kerry headquarters.

McAuliffe has made clear he'll back Sen. Clinton, the Democratic front-runner, if she makes her almost-certain run for president in 2008.

(snip)

.... he was held back from attacking Bush's military record by Kerry's campaign, and that he was never asked to take part in a strategy meeting inside the Democratic nominee's nerve center.

He also complains that Kerry aides insisted that speeches given at the Democratic National Convention not mention Bush, even while Republicans ripped Kerry to shreds at their own nominating event.

But McAuliffe claims credit for secretly egging on the Rev. Al Sharpton to slam the president in a speech that ended up being a convention highlight.

Responding to McAuliffe's book, Kerry spokesman David Wade said: "It's time to look forward, not backwards."

On the bizarre side, McAuliffe tells of having his leg rubbed by the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat at a dinner.

I see, the first book to claim sympathy for the Clintons and how they aren't bad and they were only victims of the right wing conspiracy. Not that they had anything to do with anything bad. Yeah, right.

Hopefully, they will never see the even the doors of the White House again.

Here he seems to be more interested in cuddling with ?Saddam?, the Ayatollah Khomeini, a kitchen sink and the angel of death. Having had lunch with Melanie once, I cannot understand this behavior :-)

Here is Melanie Morgan:

Thanks, Jenny. It's my all-time favorite movie and that line really hit home last time I saw it.

I wonder if reverend Jacko knew where those hands have been?

Thank you for that memory jog! But now I'm puzzled. I don't think this was the same McAuliffe scandal that came to mind for me. I'll have to go dig. Had something to do with landlording and federal contracts and all that slime. But my recollections are dusty.

I'll never forget GBLX. (I lost $5K).

But I actually made money on Enron, so it balanced out.

Why the Hell isn't McAuliffe sitting in federal prison for making millions in Global Crossing?

"Bill Clinton described that time period as "absolute living hell,"

...uh, you could've kept your pee pee in your pants. Of course, it wasnt' Clintons fault! It was the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy's fault! ~sarc

And, given the fact that he COULDN'T keep his zipper up, he also was compelled to lie under oath by that same RWC.

These people are the worst, most arrogant trash.  Sadly, they still wield enormous power and so the fight continues.

And after Hillary will come Chelsea.

"sigh"

First of all, Dan Rather put an end to any criticism of President Bush's Texas Air National Guard service.

Second, by insisting that it was Kerry's poor campaign that gave Bush the victory is insinuating that the President would not have won re-election if Kerry had been smarter. A subtle put down of the President. Or not so subtle.

The leg rub by Arafat wouldn't be something I'd include in a book. Just ewwwwwwwww!

That's because you are an honorable and respectable person.

No dem ever wants to admit what a sham Bil and Hil's marriage is.

Any admission of a personal or ideological imperfection is impossible when you're a narcissistic, arrogant, revisionist and redistributionist.

If the egos of the Dem elitists could be harnessed and connected to a generator, it could power several small nations.

This is all about generating sympathy for hitlery.

A little bashing of Kerry to get him out of the picture as a candidate for 08.

Have no interest at all in reading anything by this liar.

McAuliffe says Kerry's aides wanted to oust him as party head once the Massachusetts senator secured the nomination. He said he was never invited to a single meeting at Kerry headquarters.

Well of course not, Terry "The Punk" McAuliffe was, is and always shall be a Clintonista. and Jon Effin Cary was smart enough to realize that if Kerry won in 2004, that would put the Kibosh on Hillary for a 8 whole years....Kerry did not want McAuliffe to poison his campaign, so he decided to poison it himself, through ineptitude and not by McAuliffe malice.

Kerry couldn't help but poison his own campaign, given the fact that it was his campaign.  Thank God for the Swift Boat Vets and all that they did (and what they most likely will be doing again in '08)

I love to watch the Dems eat each other alive....it's great theater.  With this book, McAuliffe will cement himself firmly in Hillary's 08 campaign and Kerry will be foaming at the mouth again,

>> I thought the decision of the Kerry campaign to back off any real criticism of Bush...

I must have missed that. I haven't heard any cessation of Bush sliming since the 2000 campaign began

Of course you're right.  By claiming that he 'held back' on criticism it is an effort to suggest, among other things, that McAuliffe has quite a bit more to offer to Hillary in 08 that remained untapped in 04.   Instead of being labeled as someone who 'didn't have what it takes' to do the job, he can claim that he 'didn't use all of the ammo that he could have' because he's just such a sweet and honorable guy.........

Besides, the thought of Arafat touching anyone is enough to make someone throw up. Why think that that little tidbit is going to sell anything except barf bags?

By dishing out dirt on Arafat, McAuliffe attempts to sell himself to 'centrist' (slightly less Hard Left) Dems as being a 'centrist' individual....this to position himself for a major slot in Hiallary's '08 campaign when she will attempt to market herself as a 'normal everyday mom', just as all Dems try to move the rhetoric to the center for elections, then move back to the far left after they win.

"Arafat - as- deity" is not going to win new votes, and so by slamming Arafat he also boosts Hillary, whose mountains of baggage include an infamous smooch with Suha Arafat.

I'll bet he didn't "tell all" about his own crooked dealings in those heady Clintonista days.

To do so would be to insure himself a bunk at the Graybar Hotel for a very long stay.

He has a lot to hide, and this book is only an effort to insure a meal ticket, courtesy of Hillary 08.

Melanie Morgan of Move America Forward and KSFO has for many years insisted that there were many insiders that say Arafat was bisexual. She also said he came on to her when she was an ABC News reporter.

There were also numerous stories of Arafat's particularly disgusting attraction to very young boys.  Tales of regular, orchestrated liaisons abound.
