That is hilarious because both sides are media darlings and SO PC! The Dallas Morning News reporters must have been in torment deciding how to report it; do you remember if they chose a side?:)
I really can't remember very well. It seems to me that there was a third side, the public health people, and that is kind of what the paper leaned toward. I just remember thinking at the time that next they would be stoning adulterers and chopping off the hands of thieves in the publc housing projects, but no luck there. I hadn't heard about the female mutilation yet.
