Illegals plan a new boycott
Posted on 01/07/2007 7:01:27 PM PST by republican4ever
I don't think this has made the news yet. It'll be in a Spanish-language newspaper tomorrow, though.
Activists in Mexico and the US are planning a new boycott for May 1. It will be targeted against US products and companies, especially Wal-Mart.
On Feb 3 and 4 there will be a national conference at the Loyola Marymount Law School, in Los Angeles (for planning purposes, I believe).
"Se trata de movilizar a todo México y presionar en Estados Unidos para que nos ayuden a obtener una reforma migratoria justa y lo más amplia posible, destacó Javier Rodríguez, de la Coalición 25 de Marzo. ("It is about mobilizing all of Mexico and exert pressure within the US to help us attain a fair migration reform and as wide as possible," said Javier Rodriguez, from the Coalicion 25 de Marzo).
They will call for a boycott longer than one day and they will also call junior high and high school students to walk out, like they did last year. Given the sad state of affairs in Congress... I tremble to think they might be more effective this time around. It is time to get moving and to prevent further damage to our country.

They should just boycott everything, including the U.S. and get their behinds back home.
I agree though, more marches will scare the heck out of Congress. Last time they passed S 2611, this time they will give them anything and everything.
Wish there was more that citizens could do.

Well... the real news here is that this time they are planning more in advance, with more resources, and with the "blessings" of the "new' majority in Congress. Aside from that, they learned from the mistakes they made last year. So... we might indeed be in for a surprise.

If the illegals boycotted any of the Wal-Marts in New Jersey, they would have to shut down.

Yep, illegals are going to only shop at Bloomingdales' and Tiffany's from now on. Student walkouts will raise their semester grade to F, and prepare them for those new lucrative minimum wage jobs. So much better than Walmart.

That would be Pinko de Mayo. I think we should all start boycotting Mexican products, for instance, tequila, until they stop overrunning our country. Suprise, this group also opposes the war in Iraq. It doesn't take a genius to figure out who's funding these PsOS.

Okay, someone clarify. I thought animals had migration and people had immigration. Or is migration interchangeable? Then why have two different words.

It's not the illegals dropping Wal-Mart that should be cause for worry... it's the blind/idiotic legal residents and citizens who also buy there... there might be a lot more you think!
As for the grades... who cares? The problem is that then they taunt the Police, they get caught, the commit suicide and blame it on the cops (happened last year in LA... google Antony Soltero), and so forth and so on.

I'll be buying at Walmart! My Cuzzie/23 yr teacher told me that she can't shop there anymore! I asked her why and she said her Labor Union ( Whatever those a* hole teacher's Nationals and locals told them) because of "Unfair Labor Practices"!!
I wanted to kick her teeth in but it was New Years weekend and I love her dearly..
I said
"Wal-Mart has done more for poor people in this country than any other Corporation in America"
She went for a walk as did my big time cuzzie who advises folks at Merrill Lynch..
This is the crap that they get in their Union News and I believe that even with Seniority , it's the Ultimate in Scary!
Somebody or some Move on.org A hole is following their buying habits, they either believe it , or it's true.

migration = to move from one country, place, or locality to another (Merriam Webster does not specify whether it applies to humans as well as to animals)
immigration = to move into or come to live in a region or community especially as part of a large-scale and continuing movement of population (Obviously applied to humans)
outmigration = to leave one region or community in order to settle in another especially as part of a large-scale and continuing movement of population
Also: emigrate: to leave one's place of residence or country to live elsewhere
So... what say you?

While I see the reason in your analysis, leftie boycotts are always for publicity, form over substance. Walmart can break any leftie boycott by cutting the price on a Playstation 3 by twenty bucks or hiring a hundred new employees. Either will put about 3000 people in front of the store, mostly lefties.

Is "Loyola Marymount Law School, in Los Angeles " a Catholic school?. If it is, aren't they using Church facilities to support Illegal activities.
As a Catholic of seven decades it has always been impossible to use Catholic facilities without an act of God.
What happened to "Render unto CAESAR what belongs to Caesar", these words are attributed to Christ.

I am not worried about Walmart, Walmart will survive without the illegals or the teachers.
I don't wanta shop! I want to stop Congress and the President in any way possible from pushing through amnesty.
That is a heckuva lot more important than supporting Walmart in my opinion.

ICE won't dare arrest them. We have an administration that prosecutes Border Patrol agents and gives amnesty to alien drug smugglers. That lesson isn't lost on our demoralized front line in the immigration war.
