very true. if the AQ kills are confirmed, Bush needs to get to a microphone on this. what do you make of the Eisenhower battle group shift, additional operations coming?
If successful, most definitely.
Although, those 1000+ guys they took out with them were also substantial. The media never seems to mention that, and that they got the guys they were semt in to get. You just hear that 18 were killed and 75 wounded and that's it. But, if successful, this is big.
And, it's an example of stuff that W should be trumpeting. In recent weeks, we will have had this, a top Abu Sayyaf guy in the Phillipines, that top Taliban guy Osmani, Saddam, those two Pasdaran commanders captured(along with all their documents), the Islamic Courts routed in Somalia, etc...
But none of this has been publicized widely. If W would schedule a primetie address and tell the people all the good stufff that's going on, things would be a lot better. Instead, all we hear about is car bombs in BNaghdad and the failure of Iraqi sewage systems and job programs.
These AC 130s should be used a lot more, also. They sholud be out nonstop. If we only have a few, we should have produced many more. Having these things flying 24/7/365 taking out jihadists left in right, maybe a madrassa a day also, would be a good thing.
