Keep expecting perfection, and 100% of what YOU want from a political party, and you'll see a socialized America before you can blink an eye. Enjoy that Democrat majority.

I don't expect perfection, but only adhering to the party platform, principles, and Constitution. When the fruit is rotten, don't blame me for not buying it.

Agreed. The conservative zealots, who demand their one issue is more important than everything else, forget that politics is a numbers game. Here is a reverse priority list of how you win:
- When you are the majority, you get to call the tune (unless you are a wimpy Republican majority that lets the Democrats and the media bully you.)
- You become the majority by getting at least one more Congressional candidate elected than the other side.
- You get those candidates elected by having at least 1 more vote cast for your candidate than the other side's candidate.
- You get your voters to turn out through grassroots campaigning for candidates that have proved that they credibly will vote conservatively on the important issues of the Republican Platform.
- You get grassroots campaign activists to work hard by them seeing their candidates work hard and be believable on the issues.
- You get good candidates by having a strong motivated local Party grassroots organization that accepts all who believe in the Party's platform.
- You get a good Party Platform by sticking to the basics and not letting people fill it with every irrelevant pet issue that they can think of.
And lastly, you'll notice that in none of the above do I mention political consultants, lobbyists, fund-raising or media advertising. Those things are important means to the end, but without the above grassroots Party activism these things will fall short of victory - as we painfully found out in November.
We all share the blame for this, as we have not demanded this kind of party discipline for far too long.

Enjoy that Democrat majority. You have Rush to blame for some of this. For how long was he trumpeting the theme of never abandon the courage of your convictions. That's the same thing as saying never get less than the 100% that you believe you deserve.
