I could only find 2 votes from him total, on the pro-Life side: that he voted against partial birth abortions and yes on barring transporting minors to get abortions. He apparently is one of those who doesn't see an "embryo" as "life."

That was before his "new tone" approach where "everything is on the table."

Because "everything" includes the minimum wage and a few other token issues.

The Bush bashers are all in force today....the man made a promise in 2001 and he kept his word.

This totally sucks!!! The democrats are passing everything that they promised with more than just democrats. They are going to be able to brag big time even if it does not pass beyond the House. What are the Republicans doing? They could not do this the last 12 years????? This is so horrible. Whatever happened to the so called conservative democrats that were elected in November that was supposed to be difficult to control that was spoken on FR after the election? This is really bad IMHO. PLEASE SOMEBODY TELL ME I AM WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sadly, we have to remember an ESCR bill similar to this was vetoed last year after it passed our Repub-controlled congress, the President's first-ever veto at that time.

I'm not thrilled about this either, but we have the President promising another veto (keep praying he sticks to his word).

We're not obtaining a sustainable population number, but yet abortion still has support

That's why illegal immigration is being tolerated and why we're seeing every celebrity this side of Ruth Buzzy as deliriously pregnant.

Democrat Nick "The Clapper"* Lampson (mis)representing Texas CD-22 has cast the first in an undoubtedly long string of votes that will infuriate his majority Republican district. I called his office and let his staff know how ashamed we are of him back in the district for voting Aye on HR 3.

Lampson is the dweeb that replaced Tom DeLay who abandoned his seat in a manner that prevented us from even getting a Republican candidate's name on the ballot in 2006. Lampson will be kicked to the curb in 2008 where he belongs. 2008 can't come soon enough for us.

I agree that in all likelihood Bush will veto this; however, I will still feel better once he actually does.

Bush is actually considering signing an executive order promoting non-embryonic stem cell research.

I'm for abortion but I agree with you. If it has nothing to do with defense, then the government has no business funding ANY research.

Queen P is already bragging: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1766104/posts

Pretty outrageous that she is using people with MS (like ME) as some of her poster children for this frankenstein-science. Not one person in my family or circle of friends wants this for me: they know, from asking me, and educating themselves, that only ADULT stem cells offer any promise in treating diseases like MS.

I am shocked that you people don't know Bilbray is anti-life. I don't live in CA but I sure knew he was a RINO.

It all brings to mind to an excellent post by Rutles4Ever from a "Life on Mars!?" type-thread:

According to the media:

Proof of life

Not proof of life...

Hold on a second! I thought the big conservative strategy was that RINOS in the house were taught a lesson, so those still there should be less RINO now than before...right?

I respect you ALOT for that! To have the selflessness not to exploit your illness is honorable. The overall problem I have with the entire thing is that even if President Bush vetos it (I hope and actually think he will) that Nancy is going to say she passed embryonic Stem Cell, minimum wage, 9/11 terrorism stuff (I don't know what it was exactly but it passed and probably does not even makes us safer) and we are only a week into the new congress. She only has three more bills to pass for 100 percent that she will be able to use for the next two years to have the American Public fall on themselves with praise. We did the same thing with the 94 congress and we road that for awhile (I know it was different and more indepth plus we did alot for the first 10 years but media won't say anything about that). I just don't want to hear about 07 being wonderful and not see the Democrats fall until 12 years from now.

I think both of them have. They're right.
