Hillary's trip to Iraq, imo, is to shore up her bono fides w/the liberal crowd and soften her vote for the war as well as to boost her "credentials" as a foreign policy expert. (Appearance over substance) Duel purpose, also, could be to take the measure of Bayh as a possible VP lacky to her presidential ambition.

Yes, interesting. Dodd and Hagel will argue that the war in Iraq is lost and we can't win, but won't use those words, as it would be damaging to their imagined grandiose careers. Aid and comfort to the enemy is still aid and comfort to the enemy. The enemy is not foolish, and they relish such talk in Washington. It emboldens them and gives them the strength to persevere.
Lieberman and Kyl will argue that the war is anything but lost if we only show some spine and understand that ultimately this is not a fight we can simply walk away from.
Guess which side Fat Tim will take?

It is TOO EARLY for such harassment! Besides, I'm not going outside to make an igloo, let alone run wiring to one. I could counter that at least we have annual seasons and don't mow the yard on Christmas, but I won't. Still, there are only 345 days left until Christmas.

I agree 100% with both of you. From now on, she gave herself to "handlers". I am not sure why the MSM REFUSE to report that she voted against ethics reform in senate.

My fantasy: Kyl turns the tables on Russert and ask HIM a question....to wit, "Were you subpoened to testify in Libby's trial on Tuesday?"

You got me there I truly wish I had a yard to mow but grass wont grow on coral rock.
Be very interested in your opinion the surge.
My guess is that the new order of how we prosecute the war, supposedly the gloves will be taken off here soon, will be as important as the new troops, what do you think.
Currently I Have heard our guys need to ask permission 20 times before they can even go after the bad guys. If all that changes it could dramatically impact the war.I hope!

I see MY senator, Bayh, was following her around and remaining "sceptical" about the President's plan. He isn't fooling me....he is running for VP (which is why he withdrew from the Presidential race...and I will bet a deal was cut). I need to go read the morning paper and see if there is any news I can post here. (I will have to paraphrase because it's a Gannett paper).

That's the price one pays for caring more about the opinion of the MSM than the voters back home.
The weather babe showed that it is currently warmer in Detroit than it is in Austin.
Wow.

Congrats everyone, great insight as usual. I have a question for those on this thread....Anita's Media Nuggets are so penetrating, I wonder if they could be posted on a seperate thread as well as here? Not every FReeper visits the Talk Show thread, (don't know what they're missing) and there is valuable information in the Nuggets. I know I find thing there that I never see any place else. Just a suggestion.

Gotta sing in church today so getting ready to head off.
Just a quick note...has anybody noticed that Fox news has a new pundit?
Heh. Yes, it's Christine O'Donnell and below a pic of Christine on Fox news this past week and below this, a pic of Christine with....tada...Mom-Mom and Kaitlyn!
Christine is the candidate who ran against Carper this past November as an independent. She didn't win but she sure had quite an impact, eh?

There's nothing the media hates more than having the microphone turned back on them.
