Plus, I know they will tell me,
WE GET COMPLAINTS FROM BOTH SIDES.
Yeah, right, that's always their lame defense.

why the national GOP keeps supporting people like him?Morgan, the national GOP are politicians.
The best you'll ever get from a politician is the following set of priorities...
(1) How do I get re-elected?
(2) How do my buds get re-elected?
(3) What's in the best interest of the country?
Supporting Hagel comes under #2, which outranks #3.

You need a scorecard and a weeji board to figure out what is going on in Iraqi politics. all we can hope for is that long run it turns out o.k.
Historical conflicts in Iraq will not be solved with the demorat strategy of cutting and running.

You know...not only did Fitz know...that they hid that fact from the POTUS...
IMHO...this whole thing was totally unnecessary.
If Pres. Bush had been told it was Armitage..he could have chosen to keep him on ...or fire him....but, at least he could have evaluated if there was a "crime" that needed discipline.
As it was, Bush had to go along with the whole dog and pony show.

Well..well, well.
I heard Sen. Trent Lott on Sissy Chrissy's show in the last week or so...and he told Chrissy that he doesn't think of himself as a conservative, but as a "populist"...
I had to ask some freepers what that meant...I wasn't sure of what "populists" stand for.
Lott did mention that he is a populist because he is just a good ole southern boy who likes to hang out with "folks"..
So, Johnnie, based on that...should we expect this to be a more inclusive caucus than just from the dem ranks??

Thanks! I did remember her saying it, I wanted to quote so I could do what Carolinamom was doing.
To: samantha
Exactly, that's why she needs a front man or two, and needs to stay hidden as much a possible from now until election time. But we are here to expose all that.

Petulant, self absorbed, unwarranted arrogant and self satisfied. If they are still incapable of finally growing up after 09-11, they NEVER will.
I can't disagree. I can only hope that, somehow, leadership will emerge to take the battle to the Kennedy-Kerry swarm of power at any price traitors. I find it ironic, to say the least, that Lieberman is in the forefront of those who are doing a good job of laying out the absolute necessity to endure and win in Iraq.

I am paraphrasing but the MAIN JIST is....adding American troops to Iraq now, it NOT a good idea, too little, too LATE...but we cannon leave Iraq until we have gotten rid of all of al-queda and all of the insurgents and anyone else that wants to hurt us!!! Can any of you explain his logic to me???
His "logic" looks to me as: one poll has told him that sending more troops is unpopular; and another poll has told him that fighting terrorists is popular. So he will support what the polls have told him and maybe hold onto his seat. (He figures he can get away with the inconsistency in his position because he knows that as long as he comes out against President Bush the press won't call him on it.)
To: Txsleuth
Big difference. Carter and Clinton came to the campaign as ex-governors. Hunter does not have that executive experience that I know of nor has he won a state wide race. Both reasons are why representatives are not normally nominated for president.
To: PerConPat
The question is whether a democratic nation has the ability to rally itself in time to fight completely ruthless enemies who know how to use the democratic institutions of others to bring about catastrophic ends. Wow what a great analysis PCP bears repeating.Very well put together.

From my standpoint it's better for them to read about what a lame paper they are in the new media somewhere rather than support their biased reporting anymore.
problem is old habits break slowly.
