They probably knew that the majority of those in Boston were quite glad to see the back of him but in Romney's case he was probably actually doing something so they had something to criticize.

On the other hand I am probably being naive it is all to do with one being a Republican and the other being a RAT.

Great topics here anita.
Pelosi is just doing what dems do best; lie, cheat and steal. To think that anyone would dare question her about it is almost scandalous itself. Dems are and always have been, above the law.

I have read several pieces recently about the Burglar. He had to be covering up some big time comments by bubba or the wench. Probably having to do with what your link refers to ossamma himself or the overall ineptness of how the clintons botched things. It's hard to spin everything some thing you just have to steal. And apparently there is no one better at that than a low-life lawyer like the burglar.

Once again who would dare prosecute him or worse yet ask him not to steal docs from the nat. archives ,--the nerve--don't people know what is at stake.?!!

Baba Boxer is just a scumbag!

She is dam lucky she does not have a steel indentation mark in her forehead from one of Condi's spike hells. Maybe it's not too late.

It's funny how the rats alway find it necessary to find the most righteous/brilliant of the bunch to try and pull down. I guess the comparsions are just too difficult for them to withstand.

I had to laugh watching both playoff games yesterday with both CBS and Fox running promos for their Sunday night lineup. Hmmm 60 Minutes and Cold Case or 24?

It is absolutely sickening to see Pelosi, Hillary, Box et al USING children/motherhood to advance their political fortunes AND at the same time favoring the death of the unborn and partially-born CHILDREN when they choose. Absolutely SICKENING depths in cynicism and hypocrisy.

You know that is a brilliant comment that "we have already won the war in Iraq". The rest is to help the new govt. take charge.
From some of what I have read it appears we took over certain neighborhoods in the past but failed to leave enough Iraqi or coalition personnel to keep those areas secured.
Quite possibly at the time the Iraqi forces, being so new, where not equipped or ready for the job, hopefully they are now.
This time, I understand, the game plan is to secure an area, keep it secure, and move on to secure other areas as well until the entire job is done.
Sounds good, but pragmatically I would like to see how it all shakes out and actually does work.

Republicans did not take the Pelosi as House Leader threat seriously, and I'm afraid we might fall into a similar trap with Hillary as President. This whole family friendly persona the Democrats are using is calculated to get votes and we have to dispel this myth now or it will be used against us later.

U.S.: Iranian Detainees Had Ties to Insurgent Group

January 14, 2007

BAGHDAD, Iraq —

Five Iranians arrested in northern Iraq last week were connected to an Iranian Revolutionary Guard faction that funds and arms insurgents in Iraq, the U.S. military said Sunday.

The five were detained by U.S.-led forces Thursday in a raid on an Iranian government liaison office in Irbil, a city in Kurdish-controlled northern Iraq 217 miles north of Baghdad.

"Preliminary results revealed the five detainees are connected to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Qods Force (IRGC-QF), an organization known for providing funds, weapons, improvised explosive device technology and training to extremist groups attempting to destabilize the Government of Iraq and attack Coalition forces," the U.S. military said in a statement.

"Qods" is the Arabic name for Jerusalem, and a frequent name for political or military factions across the Muslim world.

(excerpt)

The U.S. State Department has said American-led forces entered the Irbil facility because information linked it to Revolutionary Guards and other Iranian elements engaging in violent activities in Iraq.

(excerpt)

There has been debate over whether the Irbil office where the men were arrested had diplomatic status, and would therefore be protected by international treaties.

Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, a Kurd, described it as a liaison office that had government approval and was in the process of being approved as an Iranian consulate.

(excerpt)

But the U.S. State Department has said no legitimate diplomatic activity was being carried out at the site, and Rice said the office was not a consulate.

"The facility in which the detention took place has been described by various Iraqi officials as an Iranian liaison office, but it did not enjoy the diplomatic status of a consulate according to Iraqi and U.S. officials," the U.S. statement said.

I will also add, Fred Barnes.

Bush Stands Alone Defying Congress, the press, and the Washington establishment. ........ he is a president with courage and remarkable stamina, a president who, after six years, Washington still doesn't quite get.

and sometimes, Bill Kristol.

Boneless Wonders Meet the spineless members of Congress.
