You nailed it Sama. Check this out. Webb, a guy who ran on his record of serving in the Reagan Administration, suddenly turned into Instant Socialist as soon as he is safely in office in DC. Wonder if all the Webb cheerleaders around here are glad of selling out a real Conservative like Allen for this Marxist Lite trash? Let see. New Senator from MT, New Senator from OH and New Senator from VA and the New Socialist Senator from VT are all banding together to form a Socialist Caucus in the US Senate. Forget the phony populist posturing. The agenda here is pure Euro style big Govt knows best Socialists.

Wonder how the voters in these states now feel watching the usual Democrat Party bait and switch tactics we all spent most of last year warning our 100%ers about go into effect?

But of course our collection of Freeper 100%er screamers will simply tune out every single fact of what THEY created with that their feverish need to validate their emotion based Talk Radio programed political dogmas.

Emergence of a “Senate Populist Caucus”

If you are a working American this is, indeed, good news.

Sirota Blog: Virgina Sen. Jim Webb (D) yesterday told a gathering at the Economic Policy Institute that there’s an informal populist caucus forming in the Senate whereby Sens. Webb, Tester (MT), Brown (OH), Sanders (VT) and Dorgan are meeting regularly to figure out legislative strategies to address income inequality. Not surprisingly, the lawmakers Webb mentioned are all key members of what I have called the People Party. This development is really good news.

Sirota’s “People Party” is his Who’s Who of Democratic representatives and senators who advocate for the middle-class by standing up against the “Money Party” and lobbyist-written trade pacts. Let’s hope they invite the “People Party” Republicans. There are some, aren’t there?

Well..well, well.

I heard Sen. Trent Lott on Sissy Chrissy's show in the last week or so...and he told Chrissy that he doesn't think of himself as a conservative, but as a "populist"...

I had to ask some freepers what that meant...I wasn't sure of what "populists" stand for.

Lott did mention that he is a populist because he is just a good ole southern boy who likes to hang out with "folks"..

So, Johnnie, based on that...should we expect this to be a more inclusive caucus than just from the dem ranks??

Wonder how much damage they can bring to the country and the economy in six years; before the voters in their states have a chance to unseat them?

More, why was his speech virtually ignored by the media? The bloggers are out there applauding his speeches since he took Allen's place and hoping what he and the aforementioned new senators are fomenting will spread.

It seems these so-called populist Senators are filling the gap for the people out there who feel putupon and abused and are wanting a socialist, big-brother form of government (like our European friends).

Case in point this comment on this blog:

Populism is somewhat a dirty word in South Dakota despite most voters cheering the phony cultural type the GOP use to tickle them into going against their own well-being. Economic populism is hard as hell to sell in SoDak but I'm willing to bet that like MT, a constant try for the next 10 years could turn things around.

or this as an example of the thinking we are dealing with and they are pandering to

Instead of "economic populism" how about economic fairness? People have a right to earn a living and no one can take that away. Right now people are living in economic bondage . Economic freedom does not mean having the right to enslave people.

#325, good post, very informative. Because of People that could not vote for Foley (even though he was not running, and they would have been voting for Negron) we have a liar, leftist, idiot that is a Mahomely butt Boy for Pelosi. Most of the gullible that thought just because they did not vote for the Foley part of the ballot that the Pubbie would still win are really upset now. I am not letting them off, they hate what Mahomely is doing already, and in reality we do not have a Representative for this Conservative district. all they could think of was that Mark Foley is Gay. I know that in two years, they will dump him because Foley will not be on the Ballot, but like I told them in two years time Pelosi,Frank,Rangel and their Butt boys can do a lot of damage to America.
