I don't know if you are aware of it or not, but China has admitted ONE recovered case of AF, from last November.
They state that is their only human case.

The dead and H5N1 infected bird(s) found in Hong Kong were believed to have been birds trapped in Mainland China and brought to HK for a Buddhist 'release-life' ritual. That would imply that BF is endemic in some parts of China. BTW, they're trying to convince the Buddhist to use fish in their 'release-life' ceremonies. Some are already.
