I'd wager the government will win it's case, as absurd as it may be.

Amazing since the biggest gambling crooks are the gummint, taking 50% of the pot on Lottery, and then taxing your winnings from the remainder.

People downplayed the ban on internet gambling but this is a major reason the dems won so many seats in congress this last election. Sneaking the bill through on the sly and making it illegal for Americans to gamble on line was a dispicable move and done mainly by Republicans and it pissed a lot of republicans off. There is no difference between these freedom grabbers and the liberals.

Two former NETELLER executives were detained while traveling separately through the United States yesterday (Jan. 15) in "connection with the creation and operation of an Internet payment services company that facilitated the transfer of billions of dollars of illegal gambling proceeds from United States citizens to the owners of various Internet gambling companies located overseas," according to the U.S. Attorney General's office of Southern New York. I guess the government hates competition.

So specifically what law did they break, when did they break it, and where were they at the time?

There are millions of Republicans who play online poker, and they are boiling mad about this nanny-state bulls**t from the blue nose wing of the Republican party. I personally know two Republicans who said they stayed home on Election Day because of this. I think this was a significant overlooked factor in why the GOP lost both houses of Congress. Nice going you Puritan a$$holes.

unbelievable, the extent to which DOJ was hunting these guys down to nab them as they passed through the US.
this is what DOJ spends its time on, Sandy Berger walks, but this case is a top priority. As well as getting dirt on Jeanine Pirro was a few months back.

Never again will I vote for a republican simply because he is a republican.
The only difference between republicans and democrats is which rights they want to take away.

Maybe they should have taken up drug smuggling. They might have gotten protection from the "justice" department.

"There's no way to rule innocent men.
The only power government has is the power to crack down on criminals.
When there aren't enough criminals, one makes them.
One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws."

More Red Meat from Bush to the Big Mommy and Daddy Government Social "Conservatives"?? Fiscal Conservatives got a government grown at 3 times inflation including the Highway Bill, No Child Let Behind and Expanded Free Drugs for Seniors at full retail for Drug Companies. George W., while possessing a few good points is a RINO disaster.

If the states currently decide if they want brick-and-mortar gaming and lotteries, why is it Congress makes the decision that Internet Gambling should be illegal?
