So, they can't go to Spain. Well, who wants to go there anyway? I've been. No need to return.

No,that's not what it means. It means that, with the possible exception of the UK,Australia and a few of our Eastern European allies, there's not a country on earth that wouldn't extradite them to Spain.Translation...these men would be very unwise to ever venture outside the US while this "warrant" is outstanding.

I have an idea for the Spanish. If you're too cowardly to fight in Iraq, maybe you should keep your journalists out of the country too.

They are not cowards. They were with us in the beginning during the Iraq War, but they lost their confidence.

So if the Brits had,a week after the Luftwaffe's first night of attacks against London, kicked Churchill out and reinstalled Chamberlain would that have meant that they had "lost their confidence"?

Now they have to learn the hard way that appeasing does not work. But they will be back on the right side in a few years. Aznar was a great leader for Spain and it was just terrible that they kicked him out of office. But there are other leaders who will throw out Zapatero.

How much are you willing to wager that Spaniards will see the error of their ways and reinstall Aznar or someone like him? I wouldn't bet a plug nickle.

Personally, I am most angry that you have called the Germans cowards. It is uncalled for and you should apologize to all of our German FReepers (as well as any other Western and European FReepers).

No sane person would label *all* Germans...or *all* Europeans as cowards and I'm 100% sane. But are you aware that, for example,a poll done fairly recently in Germany showed that close to 33% of Germans believe that Bush,Cheney and Rumsfeld took down the WTC in order to begin their march toward world domination? Not even a third of the clowns over in DUmmie Land believe *that*.

Remember, the US originally opposed entering both WWI and WWII even though our allies said that it was something that could not be delayed and would eventually threaten our freedom (like we are telling them in the current war). Would you have called the US cowards if you were British or French then?

Can't speak for WW I,but with WW II it could absolutely be said that many Americans...and FDR...were cowards for their unwillingness to jump in.What do you think the world would have looked like if Japan hadn't been so stupid as to bomb Hawaii...something they could have refrained from doing and,not having invaded, could have conquered and held much of Asia, most of the Western Pacific's islands and maybe, just maybe,Australia as well?

Just because our allies haven't fought to the same degree that we have in this war doesn't mean that they won't. They are just slower to get involved.

Oh,so *that's* why the cries we hear from much of Europe these days is "War Criminals"..."Send Bush to The Hague"...and "Bush wants world domination" !

They elected him in the first place so there is a reasonable probability. And from how Zapatero is polling after the recent collapse--or bombing--of the ETA ceasefire I wouldn't think that it is too far fetched. As some of our Spanish FReepers have been noting, the word on the streets around Spain is that Zapatero came in through 3/11 and will leave through Barajas Terminal 4.

Oh,so *that's* why the cries we hear from much of Europe these days is "War Criminals"..."Send Bush to The Hague"...and "Bush wants world domination" !

We hear those same cries in the US. It is just a vocal minority. And as far as those surveys go, they are just emotional responses to rigged questions. No one in their right mind would consider the US to be a greater threat to world security than North Korea. It is just the media twisting questions to get the responses they want.
