A bit wild out there ? Caught a couple of threads today had to bail especially when posters give the impression they would rather let Hilliary take the White House than pollute themselves to vote for a "non conservative". I as out of there did my head in LOL.

I rarely go to those threads anymore, they make my blood pressure go too high. Politics discussion forums aren't for sissies, but it sure seems many on FR are incredibly venomous.

I just got an e-mail from Move America Forward, and here's a great article, in the Oakland CA Tribune, no less, about one of the parents of fallen soldiers who was able to go to Iraq:

President Ford himself, with his background and the good common sense we all remember, was deeply committed to an active foreign policy, and to maintaining the strength of our military. Having fought for our country in the Second World War, he understood that events on distant shores can have a direct impact on our own security. He understood that protecting the American people requires defending our interests in far-away places. He understood that for our forces to be credible, they must be able to deploy wherever and whenever needed -- and this, in turn, requires the power to sail the oceans of the world, in control of the surface, the sub-surface, and the skies overhead. As Commander-in-Chief, Gerald R. Ford applied American influence with wisdom and foresight. He stood firmly by the men and women of the armed forces, and left office with the military in a higher state of readiness and morale than when he found it.

Ford during a naming ceremony at the Pentagon in Washington,January 16, 2007. The nuclear-powered aircraft carrier CVN 78, which Cheney said will go into service in 7-8 years, will be the first in the new Gerald R. Ford class of aircraft carriers in the U.S. Navy.

Doing great Justa! & we are lucky to have you do this. As we both know FReepers are always willing to help & the fellow Dose posters here are no exception.

I still sweat bullets on occasion when posting the Finest & it has been almost 2 years. Seems there is always a little "something" that causes problems

Crazy more like according to one poster I got in tangle with unless you are 100 conservative and obviously what their version of conservative is then you are a RINO.

They could see no value in any form of diversity or that different types of candidates maybe needed in different areas.

To me it was just bigotry

Bigotry is a great way to describe it, Snugs! I consider myself a conservative, but I feel I am also a realist. My personal feeling is that it is not realistic to expect that a true conservative presidential candidate will ever be elected. I hope I am wrong, but I think that a majority of voters are more moderate in their views. I just hope we don't end up with a President Hillary! because of it.

Don't I know it the thing with the dose is that you can get it about 95 per cent finished and then new photos go up that completely change the theme and mean you are another 30 - 40 mins away from posting.

It is a call sometimes you have to make do you go with what you have and then get the new photos later or leave them or do you delay posting the dose.

It is a challenge.
