"I have said from the very beginning, Hillary is the Democratic nominee and she is the next president of the United States.”

If conservatives having anything to say about it, she will.

As much as I dislike Dick Morris, he is quite perceptive on this one.

In general, I agree with Morris, but he is clearly underestimating the conservative power of Newt and his abilility to sell himself.

So if Hillary wins, it is all the fault of the conservatives?
How about placing the blame on the GOP leadership (spelled R-O-V-E and M-E-H-L-M-A-N) for dissing the social conservatives and Religious Right?

I shudder to think of President Hillary. The US economy will tank as she marches us toward socialism ...that is if the terrorists don't get most of us first.

Morris clearly hasn't studied the careers of Huey Long or RFK very closely.

agreed.....Newt isn't "flawed", he was just slandered and piled upon because he was tooooo effective with the "contract".....it scared the hell out of thelefties. All they really did was make a big deal out of his divorce, which was already inevitable and under way when his wife was diagnosed. I think he (and her, for that matter) did not want to remain "married" only because she became ill.

Dick Morris is a great at political insights, but his record as a predictor of results is dismal.

I thoroughly distrust Morris and figure he still shills for the Clintons.

This is the spin he wants to put out to dishearten Republicans.

That would make a great TV commercial. A black screen with the years rolling by 1981-2007 - and the list from above popping up one at a time - a little box in the corner with unflattering clips of all the Bushs and Clintons at a podium yakking. And then the last 5 seconds. "It's time for change in America - Vote "X"

Would you buy a used government from Newt Gingrich?

I'm now certain that McCain, Romney, Rudy or Newt will be the GOP nominee and the next President of the United States. Thanks toe-sucker.

Then again Morris may have a completely different article on Thursday. We will have to wait until after the election for the toe-sucker to tell us where he really stood.

Newt Gingrich can win this. He is easily the smartest of all the contenders and he had the message and the message discipline to win the voters he needs to win.

"I have said from the very beginning, Hillary is the Democratic nominee and she is the next president of the United States.”

There is a high probability that the 2008 election has been prearranged - with the collaboration of all the major players. It's pretty clear that the President is becoming a figurehead in US government, anyway, so perhaps it doesn't matter much.

He hit the nail on the head in the 2006 elections.
