We most certainly are not fully engaging. Al-Sadr should have long been cold and in a hole.

Read the rules of engagement. Our soldiers are driving around waiting to be shot at or blown up by an IED before they engage. We're not fighting the enemy, we are policing the enemy - BIG difference.

I not saying cut-n-run, I saying go on offense. Hunt the wanna be trouble makers; Sunni, Shia, jihadi terrorists of whatever stripe, and kill the SOB's. They want to be martyred, let's oblige them.

I wasn't scolding you for your position, just defining it and your response here confirms my understanding of it. Whatever you believe about the war, what you are saying is that we are fighting it wrong and are losing which is pretty much the point of jveritas' rant. jveritas might have been scolding you but only if you accept his statements as applying to you. Do they?

I say you are misreading what is happening in Iraq but you still the right to be wrong. You also have the right to feel as offended as you choose, right or wrong.
