We now have a copy of the note that Jimmy Carter sent to the U.S. Justice Department's Office of Special Investigation, interceding on behalf of a Nazi SS Guard. We first reported on this story this morning.

Very interesting that they got hold of the actual note. There was a bit of a caution over this story because of the original source being quite the scoundrel. They were not saying it wasn't true, just to be careful because they also did not have the note.
Now we should call in someone of Buckhead's ability to take a close look at the handwriting, etc. Do I doubt that Carter would do such a thing...no. However, I don't like to rely on something until I know beyond a reasonable doubt that it is accurate.

In Jimmy's defense the letter does not state the perp joined the SS and was a concentration camp guard.

In all fairness to Carter (who should look into things before advocating) the guy's history during the war in this letter reads like the Pope's during the same period.

That's because Jimmuh al-Carter does not have a Sandy Burglar that can steal incriminating documents and get off with virtually no punishment.

He join the SS in 1943 at age 16 to avoid being sent to the Russian front.
While he was stationed outside of the Mauthausen he served as a perimeter guard for three weeks and did shoot an escaping prisoner, named Max Ochsbron.
This is the only killing he is accused of.
In 1945 (age 18) he was transferred to the eastern front and was captured by Soviets at the war's end.
Clearly, peanut brain didn't consider the affected families of those murdered by this guy, let lone the murdered people themselves. This is the very heart and soul of the cowardly idea of moral relativism.
It is good to be a compassionate person, but being kind to the cruel results in cruelty to the kind. Carter either never learned that, or never applied the sense of it to situations where Jews are victimized by the cruel.
