The thing that bugs me about all this is that I have gone out of my way to purposely
not watch American Idol (same for Survivor - never seen even a single episode), yet because the media seems to think that everyone is watching (and, granted, a lot are) that we all want to have it all hashed and rehashed endlessly on every single show/news program. I wish I could get away from it (aside from turning off the tube). It's even cropping up on sattelite tv. Even just trying to watch shows I like I'm bombarded by more info than I want during every stinking commercial break!
(And here I am posting on an American Idol thread....[sigh]).
It gets staggering ratings, especially the 'gonna-be' shows. Someone out there is watching, mostly the Democrat base I think.
