I hope he does run for the LA governors office. If not I wish he would move to TX and run for ours.

When Jindal announced today, he said that he was not going to open the campaign until the state legislature of Louisiana had finished its session this summer. He does not want to distract from the important business that Louisiana's legislators need to do.

What a class act. In fact, in the aftermath of Katrina Jindal refused to be critical of Blanco ... preferring to concentrate on getting help to folks and, most importantly, not taking political advantage of the situation. It would have been so easy to attack her and point out every single mistake that she made.

Louisiana is fortunate to have a man with such high standards. I will do everything in my power to help him win this election.

If Jindal can actually get some things done in Louisiana, and I have no reason to believe that he can't, he will be in a very good position to make a national move.

Not that I'm biased or anything ... but I believe that most parts of Louisiana have better sense than some parts of California. The major cities (Monroe, Shreveport/Bossier City, Baton Rouge and New Orleans, are what put Democrats in office. The remainder, and vast majority of the area of the state, are conservative.
