Great stuff on the 24 links Cindy, looks like the msm is freaking out that there really could be sleepers out there who really could do us harm at a moments notice. And lacking a real Jack Bauer we could be in some serious trouble.
It's not nice to wake up sleeping citizens like that I guess

I call that the broken blister look. Did you ever get a huge blister on your heel, and then accidentally break it? The look of that blister is what Hillary's and the Slickmeister's bags look like. The Blister deadly duo.

It takes a Constitutional Amendment, and ratification by 3/4 or 2/3 of the States I believe, and even the evil Rats cannot pull that off.

They are working on a way to get around that. Some states have adopted an amendment that says that the electors for their state will vote for whoever has the majority of the popular vote nationwide, no matter who wins in their state.

So, for example, if candidate A gets a majority of the popular vote nationwide, but loses in state XYZ, then the electors in state XYZ will vote for him regardless. This will prevent a situation in which the candidate loses the popular vote but gets a majority in the electoral college, as happened in 2000.

Maybe all the "use to support the war" Dinocons should turn off that rabid Con man Mike Savage and his never been anything absurities of "military strategy based on having watched war movies" rantings and listen to what one of their own who is actually IN Iraq has to say. It isn't the Bush WH that has been AWOL on Iraq the last 3 years but the supposedly "Conservative" side of the US Media. But here are a couple of signs that is changing.

"It's not nice to wake up sleeping citizens like that I guess"

Yes, and I guess other cairing groups are outraged, too.

I never thought I would see the day when I would post about a fictional program, but, that day is here.

So we can be driven out of our minds......Actually it is to make money for the DBM to save them from a total meltdown and to avoid being cast on the ash heap.

Why is he negotiating anything? He's only a a gov of nm

I have no idea why these freelancers have been allowed to run about the world satiating their egos and building up their resumes and nothing is done about it.

Great stuff MNJ, you just gotta love Michelle Malkin. She's the best! Thank God for her and others that can embed and tell the real truth about what happens instead of the one-sided BS we get from the drivers-by.

OPINION: "24" won't wake people up. "24" is like an irritating fly that keeps buzzing around on a hot summer day

Another attack will capture the survivor's attention -- for a little while, sorry to say.

I am afraid Newt is being seduced my his own notoriety like slick Willy seduced him when he was Speaker. A few really strong Conservatives go through a transformation as they age, realize their own mortality and take on this awkward "I want to be the Man that changed the world" stance. In his heart he knows the Rats hate his guts and will use him like Slick Willy did, but that beating he took in the House upheaval, and Marital problems, age, ego and his assumption that he can sell his ideas to even really insane Democrats has him in a Kumbaya Moment. I thought you were too smart for this Newtie....

She is just doing what Jon Cary did. He did not get criticism from either party or the opposing candidates. Ethics reform? Horse feathers....

You are exactly right, and I am not shy about bringing it up in the local Wally World (Walmart), others can take the cue. Talk talk talk, it will educate more than you will ever know. People do not pay attention, you have to have the facts, then personalize it.

See, I am NOT the editor.

But I'm glad you asked.

For I think I may have found myself, INNOCENTLY mind you, in the middle of some sort of political in fight.

Here's what happened. Samantha should understand, maybe help with this.

I WAS in the GOP choir. Don't ask. I went to one practice and resigned because I am in my church choir and that's enough singing for me. So it turns out that the leader of the choir is also heading the fashion show they plan to put on this coming March. Well hey, fashion is right up my alley. So when I resigned from the choir I offered to help with the fashion show because a)I like fashion and b)Well damn I can design flyers and write promos as much as the next guy.

So this lady in the choir and in the fashion show, once I mentioned being willing to help and that my major talent was probably writing (although folks, myself is FULL of talent, insert smile here). So up out of the blue she says..."hey, we need someone to do the newsletter".

So see, I didn't exactly volunteer to the newsletter but I sure have been there and done that. Every time I join any organization I end up doing the damn newsletter and most times I don't mind. But go with me, I didn't volunteer or even especially want to do it. But the lady said they needed someone and she really made it sound urgent.

There's nothing worse than getting stuck doing something without training and from what I heard the newsletter job was vacant and they needed someone quick. So this fashion guru introduces me to the current editor of the newsletter and I tell her that I am willing to do the job but to please give me a couple of months training, that sort of thing...like phase in and phase out, if this makes any sense. Bear in mind that all the hell I wanted to do was help with the fashion show. How I got entangled in this newsletter thing is beyond me, but it gets better.

So the newsletter editor, who is STILL the newsletter editor and the one who rejected my terrific little piece, says that come January she will have me write a little piece for the newsletter. Now this made no sense to me as I wasn't trying out to be a writer or anything...just the guy who collects the info and puts it into a readable form. You know...a newsletter EDITOR.

But I figured, hey, I'll do it their way, what do I know? I mean I can write a "little piece" with half my brain tied behind my back. I figgered maybe they wanted to see if I can even write, maybe conjugate verbs, that sort of thing.

So I'm doing this email correspondence with this newsletter editor and I mention taking over the newsletter and how I'd be happy to give her some relief as there's nothing much more worse than being saddled with a job that was sucking all the joy out of life, especially a volunteer one. Recall again that this fashion show lady, who has YET to call me about helping out with the fashion show by the way, made it sound like the newsletter editor really wanted out.

Only in my correspondence this lady is saying absolutely nothing about any desire of hers to give up the newsletter and I feel really stupid. I don't know what's going on here, note that my own sweet self is guilty of nothing here but I do think there's some sort of power struggle going on with these ladies and innocent little me somehow got in the middle of it. That newsletter lady probably thinks I'm the most audacious thing, up and taking away her job. Which I do NOT want to do, how many times I gotta say it?

Now I could be wrong. That newsletter lady might very well want to give up that job, which can be a real pain by the way. But nothing she said or wrote to me indicated any such thing. I think the newsletter lady interpreted the fashion show lady's pushing me onto her as indication that I somehow want to WRITE for the newsletter, not be the editor.

Have I bored you to death yet?

All the heck I want to do is help with the fashion show. I DO NOT want to be editor of the newsletter and I DO not want to sing for the GOP! Got it!

So now somehow I may have insulted the newsletter editor by looking like an eager-beaver after her job and add to it, I'm submitting outrageous, practically communistic, writing for her newsletter.

No good deed goes unpunished and my name should be under that phrase.

I don't know, maybe they really want to get rid of this newsletter lady. Or maybe the fashion show lady doesn't WANT me on her committee, although I can't imagine why not.

I am going to keep a low profile for the next few meetings and try to figure out what the hell's going on. For I suspect I somehow became embroiled in something that has nothing to do with me.

And all I did was offer to be on the fashion show committee and/or write a little piece for the newsletter. Now I am in trouble and have been rejected to boot.

AB, if you see any information on this I'd like to know, if you don't mind. I can envision these kinds of fences back east but have never seen one. I'll search for "garden wall panels" and maybe I can find something. Past searches have produced nothing in this country that I was aware of. Thanks!

There is a place in the Cabinet of the New Republican President for Newt. He did some interesting things to promote Education and behavior modification for potential and current Diabetics, instead of Health care after the Blindness, Amputation or Kidney Dialysis. Part of the care became instructive classes to tell you what to eat, exercises, etc. This is where Newt shines, and where he is needed. Who knows how many lives, limbs, eyes, kidneys were saved y this sensible, way overdue innovative program?

You're right -- she practically did have a face transplant. Even the teeth in the picture were not her own.
