Per CNN: Richardson' s announcement of a presidential candidacy is "a traffic jam on the road to the WH". What, exactly, does THAT mean (if anything)?

The sound bites I just heard on the radio from Richardson's announcement were positively painful. Is there ANYONE in that party that actually can think and speak instead of merely regurgitating the latest focus group tested slogans? Do the Democrats have ANY leaders left at all? They are all nothing but a bunch of public opinion poll watching whores.
