The "powerful" have finally gotten to the point where they can deconstrust the USA. To me, there is no other explanation and also there is plenty of evidence.

It's their time.

Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., has asked Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez in a letter to suspend plans that would further a proposal known as the "Security and Prosperity Partnership," until Congress has a chance to examine its goals.

Tancredo, “............the United States should not engage in the construction of a North American Free Trade Agreement Superhighway System or enter into a North American Union with Mexico and Canada."

"North American Competitive Council" goes even further, Tancredo said, by recommending "The Secretary of DHS [Department of Homeland Security] … set up a limited short term pass program or otherwise facilitate people who come to the border without documents," and that "... a reasonable grace period should be established at border crossings during which time people without documents are educated about their options and allowed to pass."

SECURITY AND PROSPERITY PARTNERSHIP BACKGROUND

http://www.newswithviews.com/Cuddy/dennis73.htm

2002---David Rockefeller, chairman of the CFR 1970-1985 and Trilateral Commission founder, authors MEMOIRS, in which he remarks: "Some even believe we (Rockefeller family) are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure---one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it." .

It's true - GWB doesn't get to set his own policies on this nor on a lot of other issues that directly impact the Powers That Be. I think the 1980 election of Ronald Reagan was the catalyst - it scared the hell out the elites, and they vowed to make sure that no incompetent Carter or activist Reagan ever got elected again, and that whoever did get elected towed the mark on issues important to those elites.

So that's why who wins in 2008 really doesn't matter that much. The general direction of the country will not change. I guess the key to success in the USA in these times is: find a way to provide value to Goldman Sachs. And if you want real political change, start a proxy fight and vote out their board of directors. ;)

Well, here's a big "duh". Now, what are you going to do about it? If the US is somewhere in the Rome 400 AD range, then do you continue to pound your head against a wall or get in while the getting is good?

You'll know the final stage is upon us when conservatives finally get the picture and jump on the bandwagon. The key is portable assets so that you can scadaddle off to wherever you want.
