Looks like global warming on Earth CANNOT be manmade. If the sun is warming the entire solar system, then the sun is warming the Earth. The one common factor in the temperature of all the planets is THE SUN.

Note that nobody is actually looking for global warming of the other planets. These obersvations are 100% accidental. Yet, we have (accidentally) noticed global warming on Pluto, Mars, and Neptune's moon Triton. There is also unusual storm activity on Jupiter which might possibly be related to global warming of Jupiter (although as a gas planet we do not understand its meteorlogy very well).

NOTE that there are significant differences in the composition of the Northern and Southern polar caps which would make it plausible that in the relevant temperature ranges global warming would show up in the southern pole but not in the northern pole (yet). That is because the southern hemisphere's "summer" occurs at a different distance from the sun than the northern hemisphere's "summer." As a result, the mixture of dry ice versus water ice is different between the north and south poles.

This isn't a case of global warming. It's a case a universal warming. Everything is heating up.

We appear to have topped out at about 18 degrees of global warming here today.

It's the Busco oil cabal's fault.

Hahaha! You poor simpleton. Don't you see that our pollution is so bad that the CO2 emissions have reached our sister planet? Can't you see? Or are you one of those people equivalent to a holocaust-denier who says global warming has something to do with natural forces beyond our control?

Go ahead. Turn a blind eye. See how far your logic and reason get you!

Oh... In case it isn't plainly obvious... this is sarcasm.

The rumor is that we have the same problem on the sun.

By the way... the best response I've read to people like Al Gore in a long time.

It seems to endorse the theory that global warming is related to the amount of solar activity. Last year a Disocvery Channel program theorized that solar activity directly affected cloud formation on earth and this in turn has an impact on earth. The theory was held by a minority of scentists but more of them have converted to this view as more data appears. It is an interesting theory that needs to be studied more.

I think we should look into the possibility that mankind's activities on Earth are actually forestalling Sun induced global warming. By producing increased water vapor from combustion we are increasing the global cloud cover, thus reflecting solar energy back to space. Thank God we are slowing down Global Warming!!!

Your link goes to a 22 Nov article regarding the loss of the Mars Global Surveyor spacecraft. Is there a direct link to the comments?

Never mind. I found the quote you mentioned embedded in that article. Disregard my previous post.

Well there you have it.

We send ONE lousy dune-buggy to Mars and it warps up the entire ecosystem of the planet and starts global warming.

Let's settle this once and for all.
AL GORE is wrong.

When someone (a lib, a dem, whatever) whines about GLOBAL WARMING, or GLOBAL COOLING, tell them the truth.

It is this.

GREENHOUSE GASES (specifically the amount of CO2) are a direct result of GLOBAL WARMING/COOLING.

I've read that the average temperature measurements on the moon and Venus are also increasing
