I find this particularly irritating:
"We used to feel secure here," Nicaraguan electrician Manuel Salomon told Reuters as he sipped coffee in a Mexican bakery in the city. "But it looks like that honeymoon is over.".

"We're terrified. The police could come for us at any time and deport us," That is GOOD news.
I am sure there are drug dealers who fear police raids, and rapists who are afraid of getting caught.
Deal with it......and leave.

The honeymoon should have ended 30 years ago. Time to sober up and start paying the bills.

Let me correct that headline for you:
California ILLEGAL ALIENS Fearful after Immigration Raids.
There. That's better.
If you are legally here, Latino or not, you have nothing to fear.

"We used to feel secure here," Nicaraguan electrician Manuel Salomon told Reuters as he sipped coffee in a Mexican bakery in the city. "But it looks like that honeymoon is over."Get in line like everyone else, work hard, come here to pursue the American Dream, assimilate, become a citizen and you will be respected and looked up to.
Come here, break the law, separate yourself, demand handouts and people will be angry.
It is that simple.

Based on the Bush example, she has more to fear from
ethanol making her fingered maize tortillas more expensive.

"We're terrified. The police could come for us at any time and deport us," God forbid that you be worried that you might get caught breaking our laws
To: BunnySlippers
The way I figure...if you are here legally and have not done anything criminal, you have nothing to fear. If you are here illegally and/or have committed a crime...well, too bad. Suffer the consequences.

"The police didn't just take people with deportation orders, they took anybody" She wants us to believe anyone that even looked Latino was rounded up? No one's buying your beans, Maria.

And drug dealers are fearful after drug raids.
That's the nature of breaking the law.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised at this piece, being that it comes from Reuters, the anti-American, so-called news organization.

even from a Jack in the Box restaurant
Not the JACK IN THE BOX!!! That's just not right! If there's two things Jack In The Box is synonymous with, it's wholesome, convenient meals, served in a family friendly atmosphere, and sanctuary for illegals.

If what I just wrote made you sad or angry,
it was probably just a joke.

I hope the homocide division doesn't start making arrests lest the murderers become fearful.
I hope the IRS doesn't start auditing people or tax cheats might become fearful....
