Taxachusetts is a sea of hard of thinking liberals. I trully feel for any Republican living there. Someone could offer me a million a year job in Boston and I would turn it down flat. I would rather cut my fingers off and feed them to the fish than live in that state.

The best thing that could happen to MA is global warming melting the polar ice cap and raising the sea level.

The best thing we can do is forget Kerry"s state and move on to others we can win back. Try Pennsylvania, Santorium lost on his own. He never visited the state and lived in a big house in Va. Pa is up for grabs, if the reps are smart and sometimes the national party isn't . Casey will do nothing except sit there and say what do I say Hillary. Pa will get nothing. This is only one state I am sure you can think of others.

The frightening thing is Kennedy, Kerry and similar company have life time jobs in Massachusetts. This is the norm for them and they think this is an ideal situation, so the clear goal is to make the Republicans an insignificant minority though out the nation. Over the next few years it is going to get more and more difficult to communicate conservative ideas.

Remember that Kerry beat Bill Weld, the most popular Republican (sorry, "Republican") in Massachusetts in 50 years. The Massh*les may hate Kerry, but they hate Republicans more. The GOP controls no statewide offices, 0 out of 12 congressional seats, and the Dems have a 90% majority in both houses of the General Court. In 2006, the Green-Rainbow Party fielded about double the number of candidates as the GOP. There is no Massachusetts Republican Party.

10 congressional seats, possibly 9 if the next census doesn't
take one away (illegal aliens, come on down and be counted!
We won't arrest you, just count you in the census)

Scary: Howie pointed out on his show yesterday that if
Kerry had picked Gephardt instead of Edwards as his running mate, he might have won states like MO and IA and we would have been seeing bumper stickers saying "Re Elect President
Kerry" by now.

Kerry and Kennedy have had such a free ride in MA that they thought (or at least Kerry did, in '04) that the nation
would follow suit.

For Howie listeners: here's the 1971 Doonesbury/Garry Trudeau cartoon Howie mentioned--

10 House seats + 2 Senate seats = 12 Congressional seats. I too can count!

The election of 2004 was indeed a very close run thing. Not very encouraging for 2008.

Ready to pounce indeed. Most of the state’s Republicans already have - onto a moving truck headed out of state.

Count me among that number... although I'm still in the house-hunting stage, I'm already out of state work-wise. (I'm still stuck in the dreadfully hacked-up Mass National Guard, because the next closest units that use my speciality are in Maryland, Alabama, and Illinois. So I get to get whacked with MA taxes on that regardless. Thanks for nothing, U-Haul Patrick).

"...so why would he(Charlie Baker) throw it away for a chance to get drubbed by a guy whose second wife is willing to spend every cent in her first husband’s trust fund?"

Maybe the reason Kerry was crying on the Senate floor was because Teresa had just told him that he couldn't run for President again. So his Senate job is all he has left; unless of course he is willing to divorce Teresa's money.

By the way, Deval Patrick has already:

The bottom line is the Patrick era is a new era of corruption, criminality and economic stagnation. It's going to get far worse before it gets better, and there's no guarantee it's ever going to get better. Massachusetts has the slowest-growing economy in New England -- Patrick's "Let's reach for that" graft and greed will push it into a full single-state recession.

It's already happening. House sales are down 14% (number of sales closed) and 6% (median values). And that's just the leading edge of Deval's recession.

In five years, the state will be unlivable unless you are a welfare leech or someone who depends on government funds in some way for your job (defence contractor, university staff) -- but I repeat myself.
