Sen. Kerry Blasts U.S. Foreign Policy

By BRADLEY S. KLAPPER Associated Press Writer
DAVOS, Switzerland (AP) -- Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry slammed the foreign policy of the Bush administration on Saturday, saying it has caused the United States to become "a sort of international pariah."
The statement came as the 2004 Democratic presidential nominee responded to a question about whether the U.S. government had failed to adequately engage Iran's government before the election of hard- liner Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in 2005.
Kerry said the Bush administration has failed to adequately address a number of foreign policy issues.
"When we walk away from global warming, Kyoto, when we are irresponsibly slow in moving toward AIDS in Africa, when we don't advance and live up to our own rhetoric and standards, we set a terrible message of duplicity and hypocrisy," Kerry said.
"So we have a crisis of confidence in the Middle East _ in the world, really. I've never seen our country as isolated, as much as a sort of international pariah for a number of reasons as it is today."
Kerry said the government needs to use diplomacy to improve national security.
"We need to do a better job of protecting our interests, because after all, that's what diplomacy is about," he said. "But you have to do it in a context of the reality, not your lens but the reality of those other cultures and histories."

What a scumbag.
Kerry in Switzerland, slamming the US. How Carteresque. Doubtless he's in Davos for the skiing...with the 'beautiful people', while his middle class...(working poor),MA constituents are working their tails off, trying to keep a roof over their heads. He is really loathesome.
Kerry knows Pariah's , he turned himself into one. Even his own party wants him to go away.
This mound of manure just cant go away. He sucks, he stinks, he may even show up onnthe mall today with his old girlfriend and Traitorous partner Jane Fonda.
Jophn Kerry is one useless waste of skin.
I despise this b*stard.
Not only is he a treasonous, self-indugent creep, but he is as dumb as a turnip.
****
If BS were concrete, John F'in would be an Interstate Highway.
"When we walk away from global warming, Kyoto, when we are irresponsibly slow in moving toward AIDS in Africa, when we don't advance and live up to our own rhetoric and standards, we set a terrible message of duplicity and hypocrisy,"
As I recall the Senate vote on Kyoto was either unanimous or nearly so against the treaty. What was Kerry's vote? Was he against it before he was for it?
Shut up, prancing manwhore.
No need. The world doesn't want to eat your shorts. They want to be in your shorts. The US and Americans are loved by almost everybody. I live overseas in a predominantly moslem country. Everywhere I go, I hear, "Americans good. [thumbs up] George Bush good. We love George Bush."
sKerry is full of it.
Does this jerk EVER stand up for America? Unreal.
What a negative personality.
Hmmmm ... Sen. Kerry, freed from the need to act "presidential," has come completely unhinged. Liveshot unleashed! or Candidates Gone Wild! coming to a TV camera near you.
He goes all wobbly when he gets over there with our former enemies who he values as our most important allies. (France and Germany)
Kerry's not wobbly at all; his disdain for the US is rock-solid.
another bitter windsurfer...
it's a bad week when your sixty-four years old and you've had your allowance cut off.
What's utimately depressing is that 50 million Americans voted for Kerry.
And some unknown large number of this 50 million would be willing to implement Kerry's views and policies.
Our rights and liberties are in serious jeopardy.
Not exactly...They voted against Bush. They would have voted for Mister Ed, if he ran. PROOF: They voted for Gore, also.
Kerry, Cater, and Gore should be sewn into a sack, naked, and left somewhere.
Maybe they'd breed, or something.
Excuse me.... Didm't the senate vote 99-0 against taking up Kyoto. Didn't he vote that day or was he windsurfing. Did he vote against it, now he's against it....
"But you have to do it in a context of the reality, not your lens but the reality of those other cultures and histories."
Jon Carry, try reality, where other cultures live in history, but I'm sure your lens of luxury wouldn't agree, you just want to give orders.
