While Arkansas is a predominantly Democratic state, Huckabee won two full terms in landslides. He championed tax increases for public schools, expanded state insurance programs for the children of the working poor and opposed banning state services for illegal immigrants. This is conservative? This is pure RINOism.

Rinoism disgusts me, but we may have to come to grips with the reality that this field of republicans is the most conservative it will ever look for a presidential election.
The left, even when out of power, has been able to pull us leftward.
You know the old saying....todays republicans are yesterdays democrats and todays democrats are socialists.

When are GOP office holders and office seekers going to get it? Reagan proved that the best way for Republicans to get elected is to do that which the conservative base wants it to do - cut taxes, deregulate, fight crime, take out our enemies abroad, and defend innocent life. Aiming for that mythical center, which is really left of center, only gets Republicans defeated in national elections, and, even if it doesn't, what's the point?

Who said George Bush couldn't seek a third term?

No Republican leader stepped up after Bush won in 2004 to "take the reins" of the party and be a natural to fill the ticket for 2008. So we are left with choices less desirable than normal. McPain, Romney and Rudy are the only people with enough money and name ID to win the primary. Everybody else is looking for VP.

This is conservative? This is pure RINOism. He's been a solid Republican governor in my opinion. I don't agree with him 100% on every issue, but his GOP credentials are excellent.
The RINO term is generally overused here - where the definition is "anyone who disagree's with my opinion is a RINO".

You may not like it...But people you call RINOS are now driving the GOP bus. The Culture Warriors drivers license was revoked after the midterm bus wreck. That's why three " RINOS" lead the GOP pack and the Culture warriors are in single digits or *.

I'm tired of Republicans who think that as long as they're pro-life they can be a Socialist and it's OK.
I'm also tired of Freepers who seem to agree with that philosophy.
Think about it like this. Pro-life is the engine of a vehicle, it's vital. But if all the car has is an engine, but no wheels, tires, or transmission, then it's no good.
