Good thing the Minute Men didn't require adeqaute notice.
They *had* adequate notice. Even though it was only measured in hours. Why? They were organized and ready. In many cases so were the "ordinary" militia of the area. (The Minute Men were something of a select militia, with extra training, and sworn to be ready "at a minute's notice") Unfortunately the region they defended is now known as Massachusetts, and has fallen into an sad condition. Something about a bunch of Irish brigands who sneaked in amongst the legal Irish immigrants.
