No sitting member of the House has been elected president since Republican James A. Garfield in 1880. I'm curious when a person was elected president and had only been mayor previously.

But how long has it been since we elected a CONSERVATIVE California Statesman to the Whitehouse. 24 years and that's too d*#n long.
